About Lisa

Lisa Sorce is an intuitive artist, clinical psychotherapist, consciousness teacher and award-winning dream artist who operates from a belief that ART is a sacred act that allows the Soul’s voice to be heard.  She values the Spirit in all things and is a natural at bringing transformation and beauty into form through the power of color, texture, ritual, story, and ceremony.  Lisa believes that there is an innate Creative Force available to each of us and humbly and gratefully accesses this Force in her own art making.  She infuses intention and specific energetic blessings into all of her creations as a means to inspire herself and others to connect more deeply to their own potential and soulfulness.

In 2005, Lisa founded Whispers from the Moon Studio, just west of Chicago in the Oak Park Arts District.  As owner and creative director for more than 15 years, Lisa facilitated over a thousand Art for the Heart & Soul classes, creativity workshops, women’s circles, dream groups and community events.  These experiential offerings introduced hundreds of soul seekers to the magic and wonder of intuitive art making and the ancient, cross cultural concepts and traditions that have become the bedrock of Lisa’s methodology.

Over the years, Lisa has been called a gifted artist, mystic and teacher.  Her life-long fascination and innate gift of transforming the “mundane, discarded, unwanted” into objects of enchantment, sacredness and delight are one of her greatest joys.

About Danny

Danny Grosso is a Chicago artist, completing scores of artworks in a variety of media each year.   He has been an artist all of his life, and became well known decades ago while showing art and apparel designs at Chicago’s famed Limelight nightclub. Thereafter, he embarked on a career as an artist and designer, working on paintings of varied subject matter as well as designing modern artistic media campaigns for some of Chicago’s most prominent businesses. His work is coveted by many collectors and has been featured in productions such as Prison Break, Unborn, Leverage and Boss.  In 2005, Danny founded the gallerygro artists’ group at Chicago’s landmarked Tree Studios complex, the group exhibited there and elsewhere for the next several years.

In the early 1980s, Danny launched the iconic brand AltoEgo, featuring a line of wearable art portraying the stories of his experiences growing up in one of Chicago’s west side neighborhoods.  The brand developed a loyal nationwide following, and now 35 years later, is remembered for a spare and edgy design aesthetic embellished with 80’s artwork. Befitting our line of repurposed leathers and denims, Danny has repurposed some of Alto Ego’s distinctive looks in the Intention Rags line.  After all, some stories, especially those inspired by the grit of the city, are timeless.

Danny is also a well-known attorney and serves as a mentor and counselor to other artists and professionals.  His most recent art and writing can be found at artispoliticsisart.com.
