Sizing
This chart was developed to establish a uniform sizing system for the multitude of jackets and coats gathered from dozens of varied manufacturers. We took great care to measure each of our coats individually so that they are represented as accurately as possible. Measurements (in inches) and the actual size we designated for each garment can be found in each coat’s description. In addition to using this chart, we strongly encourage you to take your own body measurements to ensure a satisfactory fit.
Various body parts should be measured to allow for the best fit. However, the CHEST measurement is the most important one, especially if your body proportion is considered “standard” (i.e. your arms are not longer than average). For a looser fit, consider adding 2 inches to the chest measurement.
In assigning uniform sizes, we included whether a coat was designed and manufactured by the original maker as either a “W” (womans size) or “M” (mans size) to better assist you in making your choices and understanding how each garment was originally manufactured. Our coats can be worn by any gender. And we offer this sizing system not as a way to categorize but instead to help you identify which coats may fit your body type best.

Measuring Tips
If possible, ask another person to assist you in taking your measurements. Be mindful to not pull tape measure too tightly and make sure it has a little room (about 1 inch) to move.
Chest
Measure horizontally around the fullest part of your chest, keeping tape firmly under your armpits and around your shoulder blades. Stand up straight and relax your arms.
Waist
Measure around your waist, slightly below your natural waist, where you normally wear your trousers.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Overarm
Measure the length of your arm, from nape to low shoulder point, then down to the wrist bone.
Between sizes?
If your measurements are in between those listed in the size chart, pick the next larger size.
Keep in mind that some coats and jackets are normally worn over different combinations of clothing (i.e. suits, sweaters, etc). Consider adding 2 to 3 inches to your measurement to ensure a looser, more comfortable fit.
