This coat was inspired by and infused with aspects of the mythical Phoenix and the masculine, fiery energies of the East direction of the Andean medicine wheel. This ancient, shamanic tradition names the condor (hatun) as the animal ally of the east. He is a high flying, visionary creature with the ability to see the big picture and act as a powerful guide for our mental healing and transformation. Call on Phoenix and condor during times that call for a letting go of overused, outdated thought patterns so that a new way of thinking and being can take form .

Supple, black leather, mid-thigh length coat with custom buttons and carnelian and Mexican fire opal amulet at back of collar. Hand painted shades of crimson, orange and gold with ginger and brick-red collaged fabric images.
